Welcome to Mission Together

St Mary's Primary children with their Mission Together Project display and parish priest, Fr Eammon.

Mission Together is the Pope's official children's charity for overseas mission. Previously known as Holy Childhood, Mission Together has been working in Catholic schools and parishes worldwide since 1843, encouraging children to pray, fundraise and become missionaries themselves - children helping children.

Mission Together in England and Wales continues this tradition by providing spiritual and educational Primary School resources throughout the year focused on the Gospel, liturgical seasons and on our various overseas projects. These assemblies, liturgies and activities are free to download via the Teachers' Resources page. Mission Together also has a team of experienced volunteers who can lead assemblies and workshops on request and our famous mission rosaries, prayer poster, stickers and project maps can be ordered to support our work in schools via the Materials order form. 'The children fully embraced the concept of children helping children and could see through their prayers and giving they can make a small change to children's lives all around the world!'

Through the prayers and financial contributions of children in England and Wales, Mission Together has for generations carried out life changing educational, medical and welfare projects in the poorest areas of the world. Being universal in character, our projects tend to the needs of all, regardless of background or beliefs; exemplifying the all-embracing nature of the Catholic Church and the true meaning of the word 'mission'.

Mission Together materials complement all Catholic RE programmes, uphold Catholic teaching, and are mindful of requirements within the Common Inspection Framework.

We are delighted to be working alongside the Knights of St Columba, in collaboration with Missio Scotland, to support Thika feeding programme and similar schemes across the world. The Knights of St Columba have generously agreed to focus on Mission Together for their Action Project from November 2015 to October 2017 and we thank them for their support.
