Feast of St Francis Xavier

Feast day, 3 December: St Francis Xavier was a founder member of The Society of Jesus (the Jesuits). Courageous and intrepid, in the early days of exploration he took the message of Christ into new lands, notably Asia. For this reason he, with St Thérèse of Lisieux, is the Patron of Missionaries.

St Francis Xavier fulfilled his mission to share the message of God’s love around the world and serve those most in need. In this assembly children discover how, by following his example, they can become missionaries of God’s love, too.
