Feast of St Joseph

St Joseph was the husband of Our Lady and foster father to Jesus. This assembly reveals how Joseph fulfilled his mission to love God and serve others, and how by following his example, children can become missionaries of God’s love, too.

On Friday 19 March we celebrate the Feast of St Joseph, husband of Mary and stepfather to Jesus.  In the week leading up to it we invite your pupils to reflect on St Joseph’s life and ask him to guide and inspire us to grow closer to God, through our new Week of Prayer.

The themes for this week have been taken from Pope Francis’ letter Patris Corde (With a Father’s Heart), which declared 2021 the Year of St Joseph.
