Feast days 19 March & 1 May: St Joseph is a much-loved saint the world over, yet in the Gospels he is a relatively hidden figure. This assembly helps pupils discover more about Saint Joseph and his importance in the life of Jesus, Mary, and the global Church. Please note; there are two feast days honouring St Joseph in the Catholic Church calendar; March 19th and May 1st. The latter is also referred to as the Feast of St Joseph the Worker.
For schools with a focus on Catholic Social Teaching, there are principle links with the Dignity of Work. For schools with a focus on Virtues and Values, there are links with faithfulness, trustworthiness, courage, and humility.
