Holy Week is a movable feast, occurring between the last week in March and first fortnight in April. Holy Week begins on Palm Sunday and leads to the highest liturgical point in the Church calendar – the Passion and Resurrection of Our Lord. Our Holy Week activities and prayers allow children to journey through these important days in an accessible and engaging way. In the Catholic Church, the season of Easter lasts 50 days – from Easter Sunday to the feast of Pentecost. Easter is the greatest feast in the Church year, when we recall Jesus the Christ rising from the dead and securing for us the promise of new life.
