Together in Cambodia
When Sr Eulie and her fellow Daughters of Charity Sisters arrived in Phnom Penh, they watched with horror as young children of migrant workers were left home alone for hours as their desperate parents went to work for poor wages in the city’s textile factories.
With the help of Mission Together and other charities, the Sisters got to work and established the Lindalva Centre in the city’s slum area. The Lindalva Centre provides children of migrant workers with a safe and loving environment in which to learn and play. Here the children are given the chance to go to school and are provided with lunch every day.
To continue running the Lindalva Centre, Sr Eulie needs our help.
- Can your pupils say the Mission Together Prayer for the children at Lindalva each day this term?
- Can your class raise enough to help keep the children at Lindalva healthy and safe?
Your pupils can find out more about the Lindalva children, explore a map of Cambodia, complete fun quizzes in our resources below.
