Mini-Missionaries in Northampton

Pupils at the Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School in Northampton started the new year discovering how they can become ‘children helping children’ by joining their prayers with children around the world.

The children from reception to Year 6 gave a very warm welcome to our Mission Together volunteer, Dr Sue Barter, who ran our first Mission Together Workshop on how to become mini missionaries.

After discovering some of the places where children overseas are praying and sharing, the children learned how to welcome one another in different languages. Using our colourful map of the world, they saw how prayer and sharing are universal and how children everywhere are united in God’s love.

Ms Smith – Year 3 Class Teacher and R.E. Lead said ‘Can I say a HUGE thank you to Sue, she was an absolute superstar! We’re already thinking of asking her to return to The Good Shepherd School so that we can find out more about Mission Together!’
