The difference you make
Mission Together is the children’s branch of Missio – the Catholic Church’s official charity for overseas mission. Our mission is to support children in 157 countries around the world where the Church is young or poor. Every penny, pound and prayer you share with Mission Together supports children living in places of poverty, conflict or turmoil.
Wherever we’re needed; whatever the need
Sometimes a community’s needs might be very specific: a new classroom to educate refugee pupils, or a generator for a children’s home. Sometimes they are long-term needs, such as a school feeding programme or running costs. Sometimes we help children’s spiritual development, for example by funding a parish youth worker or catechist.
Local needs on a local level
We don’t dictate what help we supply; we listen. Because the mission diocese or parish can best direct aid where it’s most useful, deciding local needs on a local level. Ultimately, with your support, we help communities overseas take ownership of their project, and become self-sustaining.
None of this is possible without you
The difference you make is as specific as a single child getting the education, healthcare or food they need; and as broad as igniting God’s love around the world, and building a strong and vibrant Church for tomorrow. Because of you, we can respond to the needs of poor communities and show all children that they are loved – by God and by us.
Thank you for being part of the Mission Together family
